Like all other genres of Bengali literature, the range of humorous stories and stories tinged with little sarcastic humour, is unique. The editor had intended to record this evolution of one hundred and fifty years in one single volume. This book may be termed as an encyclopedia of satirical stories, from that point of view. This archive of the one fifty year old Bangla satirical stories is a personal collection of Parimal Goswami.
